Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not share your information for targeted advertising.

2. Information you give us

This includes what you enter when you create an account, contact us, or use the product, such as your name, organization, email address, and the content you submit. If you request access, we receive your name, work email address, institution, and role or title.

Information about other people. Our customers may submit information about other people to Vermerit, for example applicants whose applications are being evaluated. We process that information on our customer's behalf and under our agreement with them. If your information was submitted by one of our customers, please contact that organization first. You can also contact us and we will help.

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit, our systems receive basic technical information such as your browser type, device type, pages visited, and IP address. We use this to deliver the site, keep it secure, and fix problems.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and protecting your session. We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or session-recording tools.

Because we use no non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner. If that changes, we will ask for your consent before using them.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose:

• Vercel, for hosting and content delivery
• Supabase, for our database, file storage, and sign-in
• Anthropic, for AI processing of content you submit, under commercial terms that do not allow your content to be used to train its models

6. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service, respond to you, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not use it for advertising.

7. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers above, when required by law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. In a merger or sale, we would notify you first.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, and opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do neither.

To make a request, email info@celesium.ai. We will respond within 45 days.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We will answer your appeal within 60 days. If you are a Texas resident and are unsatisfied with the result of your appeal, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

We honor Global Privacy Control signals from your browser as an opt-out request.

9. Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and information is processed and stored here. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. These include the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and on contract where you have an account with us.

10. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach as the law requires.

11. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
